Benz&Grace Coffee
The transformation of a typical coffee shop into a tropical oasis within an urban environment aims to re-emphasize the brand identity and eliminate unnecessary elements. The exterior has been simplified and made easily recognizable. Meanwhile, the interior has been given a new character—an oasis—a lively area amidst the urban desert.
The store facade is mostly repainted white with minimal logos to maintain a clean and simple brand image. A portion of the storefront at the counter area has been designed as a pick-up window for quick orders and takeaways. The rest of the facade is composed mostly of clear glass panels, easily displaying the store's cake menu and indoor activities from the perspective of passersby.
Significant changes have been made to the existing interior, including layout plans, wall partitions, lighting, and furniture. We have removed a few walls to create a more connected interior space and open up new layout possibilities. The new ground floor now offers various seating arrangements, accommodating individuals as well as large groups of people. An oasis-themed sitting area, adorned with desert plant decorations, adds a distinct touch of an indoor camping experience. A corner of the shop is reserved for a large cake display with an art gallery undertone. On the upper floor, a previously solid wall has been transformed into a semi-open handrail, allowing adjacent users to overlook the landscape and street view of Toul Tompong.
The shop's color scheme now leans towards warmer and brighter tones. Off-white and warm beige colors have been introduced, along with selected desert plants, textured surfaces, crushed stone pavement, and the warmth of natural wood found in joineries and furniture.
