Chatime x Waff | Where Flavor Meets Community: A Space for Vibrant Gatherings

The transformation of the bubble tea and waffle store was designed with a trendy-oriented concept, making the space modern, visually communicative, and socially active yet warm and hospitable. Purple and red were adopted as highlight colors that articulate the brand identity within the space.

From the exterior, the composition of two oblique facades clad in kit-kat white tile accentuates brand visibility, presenting the Chatime emblem in purple and the Waff insignia in red as primary visual markers. Upon entry, the bar counter illuminates the environment through the use of light boxes featuring store logos, combined with raw and tactile finishes—rough-textured tiles, concrete-inspired surfaces, and stainless steel cladding—that introduce material contrast while maintaining coherence with the overall design language. Inside, the spatial arrangement unfolds through varied seating typologies—banquette, group, and casual lounge chairs—facilitating multifunctional use. A designated laid-back reading lounge corner provides a home-like retreat where customers can relax with a book while enjoying a sip of bubble tea and a bite of waffles.

Throughout the space, carefully placed lighting—particularly the integration of light boxes and signage—defines a modern yet atmospheric character, allowing each spatial node to balance vibrancy with comfort. Wood, wall tile, and beige tones were selected with precision to achieve sensory comfort, creating a harmonious composition that enhances the enjoyment, ultimately shaping the store into an elevated experiential setting.
