Revive Residence
Revive Residence

Located in the southwest part of Cambodia, right next to a coastline, this house resides at a perfect spot for a vacation home thanks to great panoramic views, endless ventilation and breeze from the sea.

Revive—named after the project brief and intention as to recharge one's energy and regain consciousness from the busy city life.

It is important to take site context into account as the location is surrounded with potential natural elements that could be taken advantages of and used for its architecture definition. The design language and technique shall correspond to the neighboring environment by how the building is oriented and used in the coastal area, and how the floor plan is laid out to achieve living comfort with strategic room planning for maximizing outdoor views.

In order to seamlessly blend in the nature and maximize the surrounding potential, the architecture remains humble and uncomplicated in respect of volume formation and embodiment of material and design elements. Instead, each occupied space is strategically planned to answer to the exterior factors such as visible scenery, weather condition and privacy requirement.

The house facade is composed of contemporary elements with clean lines and surfaces including white/cement wall texture, wood clads and subtle steel exposure. Feature walls with circular piercings add a character and artsy touch to the space as a window overlooking to the other side, which is decorated with appealing natural elements.

Landscaping is decked out with selected trees/plants and other components such as grass pattern, pathing stones, feature stones, retaining walls and additional trees for shading and privacy.
